As we head into Advent and the Christmas season, there will be a host of services and fundraising events taking place in our churches. These opportunities, from carol services to Christmas fairs, and everything in between, are a great way to reach out to the community, as well as helping to raise vital funds. One of the main reasons people don’t give to churches is simply that they are not asked. At the different events and services, think about how you are asking people and how they can give to you, what options are you offering for those who wish to give? Make sure you are making it clear and easy for your visitors to donate to your church, and are helping them to understand what the gifts will be used for and how important they are to the life and mission of the church.The biggest tips for a generous Advent are to make a plan, have fun and say thank you, It’s so important that people know how grateful we are for their generosity, a simple thank you can go a long way.Generous God, you give us life in abundance and all that we have comes from you. Christmas cakes & biscuits
Chocolate & sweets

as well as any regular, non-perishable items.

Christmas can be a very stressful and worrying time for those struggling financially. Any donation you can spare will help us enormously to support the most vulnerable members of our community.

Pershore Foodbank is open on Tuesdays 11.00 to 13.00 and Fridays 13.00-15.00 in St Andrew’s Parish Centre.
