Do come along and join us in St Andrew’s Parish Centre this Sunday for #cafechurch.

The theme this month is #thegoodshepherd #psalm23

It begins at 9.45 am and you can help yourself to some breakfast.

Feel free to let the kids play with the toys and do colouring.

Don’t worry about noise. God loves to hear the joy of his people, especially his young ones.

It lasts for around 45 minutes so do come and join in the fun!

Canon Claire takes us for a walk around the Church

Canon Claire takes us for a walk around the Churchyard of #pershoreabbey explaining the areas and our exciting new wildflower project to aid our pollinators. 🐝 🌺

The grass area that the Cherry Trees line is our Garden of Remembrance where loved ones’ ashes are still interred in consecrated ground so we would be very grateful if people could be mindful of this 🙏🏻

Our historic churchyard areas are a haven for our wildlife with all different birds and other animals in residence. Next time you walk along , why not stop and listen to the birdsong or see if you can see a cheeky squirrel hopping around. Help us to care for creation by staying to the paths as much as possible 💚🌎

Our Abbey is once again decorated by our talented Floral society with the most heavenly lilies and crafts from our Younger community so please do pop in over the next few days and see them.

Good morning everyone on this #holysaturday as we continue on our #eastervigil 🙏🏻

These photographs were captured by our Digital Media team yesterday afternoon as they climbed #bredonhill to attend the traditional #goodfriday service
held at the very top.

Again this was the first time in 3 years that the event has been able to be held following the pandemic social distancing restrictions.

Our thanks go to all who worked so hard to organise this service and to our team for their long trek up, across and down the hill.

Our Service of the Last Hour was held yesterday in #pershoreabbey and the livestream recording can be found on our YouTube channel along with the Walk of Witness and Maundy Thursday services.

This service will be approximately one and three-quarter hours and will be followed by the Watch until Midnight.

This evening everyone is gathering for Stainer’s Crucifixion here inside the Abbey.

The Abbey Choir have been working hard on this dramatic picture of the events leading up to the Crucifixion and it’s wonderful to see so many out in support of them in this Holy Week performance. 🙏🏻

#pershoreabi always feels a little sad during #holyweek as she reflects upon the events leading up to Easter Sunday. So this morning we used one of our #willowwreath rings that we made for Christmas wreaths and made an #ecofriendly #easterwreath for our front door.

Willow wreaths are much better than #floralfoam for floral displays as foam is equivalent to 10 plastic bags. There are lots of tutorial videos on YouTube that Abi likes to watch to enable us to help care for God’s Creation 🌎🕊

With schools now on Easter Break, why not see what decorations you can make using natural materials? We would love to see your creations so please tag us
